Alvar Aalto

Alvar Aalto (1898–1976) was a Finnish architect and designer, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern architecture and design. His work spans a variety of fields, including architecture, furniture design, and industrial design. Aalto’s style is known for its humanistic approach, blending functionalism with organic forms inspired by nature. This marked a departure from the rigid, geometric forms of early modernist architecture, creating spaces and objects that were not only functional but also responsive to human needs and emotions.
