A ceramic urn by Tyra Lundgren
Monumental lidded urn by Tyra Lundgren for Rörstrand, c. 1930. The model was exhibited at the Stockholm Exhibition 1930 and features a dramatic high-relief decoration of tritons playing with fish. Glazed in rich tones of green, blue, yellow and brown, with a sculptural lid crowned by a putto and a splashing fish. Stamped Rörstrand KI 30 in both lid and base. Head repaired and minor damage to a leaf.

Tyra Lundgren
Tyra Lundgren (1900–1985) was a Swedish ceramic designer and artist known for her innovative and functional designs, particularly in the mid-20th century. She is perhaps best known for her work in ceramics, which combined elements of Swedish folk art traditions with modernist styles and forms. Lundgren worked for a number of well-regarded Swedish ceramic factories and was associated with a design approach that blended artistic creativity with industrial production.
