A group of six vases made in high-fired faience or stoneware faiance by Hans Hedberg in Biot, France. The heights of the vases vary between 9 cm and 21 cm. Hans Hedberg (1917-2007) was a Swedish ceramic artist renowned for his mastery of stoneware faience. His work was characterized by vibrant, large-scale ceramic sculptures, often resembling oversized fruits. Hedberg combined traditional ceramic techniques with innovative glazing methods, resulting in durable, high-fired stoneware pieces with a faience-like finish. Hans Hedberg

Hans Hedberg (born 1935) was a renowned Swedish ceramicist, well known for his work in the mid-20th century. He was associated with the Swedish ceramic tradition, particularly in the 1950s and 1960s, and became one of the prominent designers in Scandinavian ceramics. His works often blended functional design with aesthetic appeal, typical of the minimalist yet expressive approach that Scandinavian design is celebrated for.
