Ann-Mari Forsberg

Ann-Mari Forsberg (born 1954) is a renowned Swedish textile designer, known for her contributions to Scandinavian design, particularly in the field of textiles. She has been recognized for her innovative approach to fabric design and her role in shaping modern Swedish textiles during the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Forsberg’s work often blends tradition with contemporary aesthetics, drawing on both Swedish heritage and modern design principles. Her designs include a wide variety of textiles, from woven fabrics to prints, often featuring bold, geometric patterns and a keen use of color. She is known for working with natural materials such as wool and cotton, and her designs are celebrated for their tactile quality and attention to detail.

One of Forsberg’s most notable roles was working with Kinnasand, a Swedish textile company where she served as a lead designer. Her influence there helped create fabrics that have become iconic within Scandinavian interior design, characterized by simplicity and elegance.
