An Italian mid-century modern pair of table lamps in the form of two snails or slugs by designer Marzio Cecchi for Dimensione Fuoco. The body of the snails are made of shaped and handcrafted wood, while the shells which contain the light point, are made of Pulegoso Murano glass in warm shades of light brown and orange..There were around 50 snail lamps ever created and all were made around the same time,1969 in Italy. The smaller snail measures 24cm x 39cm x 24cm and the larger one measures 40cm x 52 cm x 24cm
