Framed textile with flower motif by Kajsa Melanton

This beautiful flower print tapestry was designed and wowen by Kajsa Melanton, a Swedish textile artist known for her innovative approach to weaving and textile design. She studied at Konstfack, the University of Arts, Crafts, and Design in Stockholm, and became prominent in the 1960s and 1970s. Melanton’s work often featured bold colors, abstract patterns, and a deep connection to nature. She was part of the “10-gruppen,” a collective of Swedish designers focused on bringing fresh, modern design to textiles and everyday objects. Her contributions significantly influenced Scandinavian textile art and design.
The tapestry has been expertly framed between two sheets of glass surrounded by a gold frame.
