A set of twelve wooden bowls with lids by Oskar Johansson

This collection includes 12 lidded wooden boxes and 6 bowls designed by Swedish craftsman Oskar Johansson, produced in Hästveda during the 1950s-60s. Johansson’s work embodies the minimalist Scandinavian design of the era, focusing on natural materials and functional elegance. Known for his refined woodturning techniques, he used birch to create smooth, rounded forms, often branding his pieces with “OJ” to signify authenticity. His designs are prized by collectors for their simplicity and timeless appeal, capturing the essence of mid-century Scandinavian craftsmanship.
